I look at my shoes to keep from looking at you
I keep my hands in my pockets 'cause I have nothing to hold on to.
Am I missing out on missing you and wishing to be kissing you?
Do you still live here or are you just house sitting?

Slurring soft, sybillant syllables sweetly at your side:
suppressing secrets from slipping,
sounding out sentiments silently left implied.
The stars in the sky, like the spark in your eye,
are you falling for me?
Sending suggestive signals by sight:
saying saluations (like "hi"),
speaking spells,
slowing souls' syncopation,
syncing psyches.

Lesson learned:
Don't give into hearts cemented in lust.
Starving skin and hungry hands turn us into robots (with no off switch [OSTRICH?]).
How can we forget?
Teach us how to be friends.
Doing your best to keep me secret.
I'm doing my best to keep you a secret.
But I know well be okay.
