This song is about how the girls we were hanging out with and other girls that we knew were suddenly obsessed with beards and how a guy dressed. They didn't even know if that guy is a nice guy. It seemed that they could only be attracted to a guy if he looked like a, for lack of a better word, hipster. It was kind of like fashion over function, but in guy form. Get it? I wrote this song as a way of saying, "Even if we change how we are, you still wouldn't find us to be boyfriend material. Why?" The guys in TGIL are nothing like that and we don't have to be.

Sometimes after this song is over, I will turn my guitar down and sing out loud, "Me and my boys, we never wear our shirts and ties because we don't give a fuck what the ladies like. So we try to impress just by being ourselves."

Musically, this is one of my favorite songs. The bass doesn't really follow the guitar; it's almost like a second guitar part. I'm also really proud of the harmonies in this song.
